PFIC LEADS THE WAY ON IMPROVING PVC PERMANENT FORMWORK TRAINING & INSTALLATION CAPABILITY

PFIC was founded in 2021, and at the heart of it’s conception, was a desire by leading PVC manufacturers to elevate the PVC Permanent Formwork industry by addressing the quality of products and installation.

PFIC recognises that to enact real, sustained change, it must start with training and education in a bid to better regulate the industry. As such, one of the first initiatives of PFIC has been to develop and introduce a number of training initiatives. These include, but are not limited to, the development of a standardised off-site training curriculum; standardised installation guides; and standardised on-site installation checklists.

Formwork suppliers, under their obligation as PFIC members, are also required to commit to requirements for installation quality reviews which will take place on a regular basis.

Great inroads have been made by both CSR AFS and Dincel – both of whom are members of PFIC – to develop and implement training programs for PVC Permanent Formwork installers. This has been well received by installers, customers and key industry bodies and will continue to elevate the standards within the PVC Permanent Formwork industry.
